Lemmenpolun Valot (Lights of the Lemmenpolku Trail) returns to Muhos on 7 November 2026 with immersive light art, audiovisual works and a poetry and light trail for visitors of all ages.

Lemmenpolun Valot (Lights of the Lemmenpolku Trail) will illuminate the Lemmenpolku nature trail in Muhos on Saturday, 7 November 2026, from 5 pm to 8 pm.
This year’s artistic programme is created by Flowers of Life, which will present a large-scale light art installation along the route leading to the waterfall. The work utilizes UV light and reactive materials, transforming the familiar forest environment into an immersive artistic experience.
The event will also feature two audiovisual works by Oulu-based visual artist Jani Pitkänen. Combining sound, video and historical archival material connected to the area, the works offer new perspectives on the local environment and its history.
In addition to the light art installations, visitors can take part in a poetry and light trail designed by the library services. This activity invites participants of all ages to solve a poetry-themed mystery along the route, with prizes awarded to all participants.
The event offers experiences for visitors of all ages in the midst of an atmospheric autumn landscape. Campfires and other activities will also be available throughout the evening.
The café operated by Laitasaaren Kyläyhdistys (Laitasaari Village Association) will sell refreshments during the event. The selection includes grilled sausages, filled sandwiches, sweet buns, coffee, hot chocolate, hot berry juice and juice boxes.
