The chosen Finnish city for European Capital of Culture for the year 2026 will be announced in a press conference on Wednesday 2.6.2021 at 11.30. The international jury visited Oulu on 27.5. and their visit went wonderfully.

Present at the conference will be the Minister of Science and Culture, the Chairperson of the Expert Panel and the Finnish members of the Expert Panel, Kai Amberla and Riitta Vanhatalo, the Acting Head of Representation of the European Commission Representation in Finland Maria Kokkonen, as well as representatives from the bidding cities.
