Welcome to the Oulu2026 Friday Club! This open-to-all and free of charge event series offers a taste of the European Capital of Culture programme through different themes. During the clubs, extended opening hours and reduced admission are available for the Fotografiska Tallinn PLAY exhibition.

The third Friday Club is all about the acclaimed PLAY exhibition. We’ll be joined by Margit Aasmäe, CEO of Fotografiska Tallinn, and Jorven Viilik, Fotografiska Tallinn’s Artistic Director and the curator of PLAY exhibition.
Come and hear more about the theme and artists of this fascinating exhibition and enjoy a relaxed evening in good company. The discussions will be held in English.
Music will be provided by DJ Somepoe, who will be spinning a diverse selection of lounge-friendly electronic music, spanning a wide international spectrum of styles and influences.
The programme sessions begin at 7 pm and 9 pm.
The bar and the Oulu2026 Info & Shop will be open throughout the evening.
Extended opening hours (7-11pm) for the Fotografiska Tallinn PLAY exhibition will be available throughout the club evening, with discounted admission at €9 (normally €17/€12). Visitors under 18 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Through a multidisciplinary lens of 17 international artists, the exhibition explores play as both a source of joy and a distraction, highlighting moments of delight, resilience, rebellion and connection. Together, the works form a visual journey into play as a deeply human form of expression and a non-verbal language.
The Friday Clubs are held at the Oulu2026 Info & Genelec Lounge, located on the second floor of Pekuri Shopping Centre in Oulu.
