Live Sri Lankan cooking experience with a Culture Companion2026

Share

Join us for a special interactive cooking show where Culture Companion Hiruni takes participants on a journey through Sri Lankan cuisine — preparing a full traditional meal while sharing the meaning, memories, and techniques behind each dish.

Watch the flavours come together step by step, ask questions throughout the session, and discover:
• How spices build depth and character in Sri Lankan cooking
• Why coconut plays such an essential role in Sri Lankan cuisine
• The tradition and symbolism behind milk rice
• Why Ceylon cinnamon is world-renowned and so important to Sri Lankan food culture

On the menu:
• Yellow Rice
• Chicken Devel / vegetarian version
• Cashew Curry
• Tempered Potatoes
• Fresh Vegetable Salad
• Milk Rice & Coconut Jam
• Traditional Sri Lankan Milk Tea

This is not a hands-on class — it’s a shared culinary experience.

Come curious, engage in conversation, learn authentic techniques, and explore the cultural stories behind every dish.
