Snowball Musical

Musical for the whole family

Oulu’s European Capital of Culture year culminates with the world premiere of a major musical. The protagonist, Krista, is Santa’s goddaughter and has lived in Santa’s village, surrounded by Christmas magic, all her life. However, she has now started to crave adventure. At Christmas, an ancient spell is broken unexpectedly, revealing Santa’s mysterious past. Krista must rise to the challenge and save Christmas for children around the world.

The world premiere of Snowball will take place in Oulu Hall on 4 December 2026. Screenings in the 2,500-seat auditorium will continue until 19 December, with a total of 19 screenings.

The musical will be performed in Finnish, with Swedish and English subtitles. Age recommendation is 5 years. Duration is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes including intermission.

Wheelchair spaces
Wheelchair + assistant on the same ticket, and a seat is reserved for the companion next to the wheelchair seat. There are 4 wheelchair seats per show.

Kaikukortti tickets
A limited number of tickets are available for the event with Kaikukortti. Kaikukortti tickets can be redeemed at the Lippu.fi sales point and in Oulu at the Oulu2026 in Kauppakortteli Pekuri. The customer is responsible for the Lippu.fi service fee. Kaikukortti must be present when booking, redeeming and attending the event.

Tickets are sold at Lippu.fi ticket sales channels and at the Oulu2026 info in Kauppakortteli Pekuri (Kauppurienkatu 10, 90100 Oulu, 2nd floor). The Oulu2026 info is open Mon-Sat 11 am–7 pm and Sun 11 am–6 pm. Payment method at the Oulu2026 info is payment cards.
