Tirlittan – Orphan Girl in the Wonderland of People is a musical play created and performed by children and young people from Oulu, aimed at a young audience. The play is based on the 1953 novel Tirlittan by Oiva Paloheimo.
Tirlittan, created and performed by children and young people from Oulu, represents Finnish cultural heritage and children’s culture at its finest. The musical is a touching survival story with a happy ending, particularly relevant today amidst widespread fears and threats. The scenes combine acting, singing, music, circus acts, and dance. Anna Haukka’s new compositions bring a fresh, contemporary feel to the story. The performances will take place at the end of May.
