SEED (Sustainable Empowerment through Eco-Art & Development)
SEED helps un- and under-employed women in Oulu start creative careers. Professional artist guidance, art coaching, upskilling, and sustainable use of recycled materials turn talent into income.
SEED is a free programme for un- and under-employed women in Oulu who want to turn creativity into opportunity. Guided by a professional art coach and enhanced by visiting-artist workshops, you’ll explore many art forms with sustainable, natural materials. Along the way you’ll sharpen technique, teamwork and self-confidence, create solo and group pieces, and share your art in local pop-ups and on online platforms that open doors to an international audience. Working indoors and outdoors, you’ll also build entrepreneurial and interpersonal skills, expand your network and more. No experience needed—just curiosity and the desire to grow.
Our impact to Culture-
climate change
SEED’s essence is respect for nature and the seamless integration of art into the environment. By drawing inspiration from Finland’s forests, coastlines and changing seasons, participants learn to create with recycled and natural materials, cutting production costs and minimizing environmental impact. SEED reunites women with the wild, champions a sustainable and respectful lifestyle, and invites every participant to become both explorer and creator in their own artistic journey.
