How can small arts and cultural organizations develop new forms of collaboration, and what opportunities can collaboration create for public art?

These are among the questions that will be explored at a panel discussion at the Oulu Art Museum on Friday, 4 September, titled Small Organizations, Big Collaborations: Future Possibilities in Public Art.
The panel features curator Tsutomu Okada from the Tsurumi Public Art Project (Japan), visual artist Anni Arffman, producer Inka Hyvönen from the Oulu Cultural Foundation, and art coordinator Yiorgos Slunga from Upeart. The discussion will be moderated by visual artist Kaija Hinkula.
The event will take place in the Satula space at Oulu Art Museum from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The discussion will be held in English and interpreted into Japanese. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
The event is part of Joy from Urban Contemporary Art, a mural project included in the official Oulu2026 programme.
