During the Opening Festival, traffic and parking in Oulu city centre may become very busy, so please allow plenty of time to arrive.

Due to the public event, the following streets will be temporarily closed to motor vehicles:
- Kaarlenväylä and Rantakatu (between Hallituskatu and Kiikelinsilta):
Fri 16 Jan 14:00–22:30 and Sat 17 Jan 12:00–23:30. Access to properties is allowed. - Hallituskatu (between Kaarlenväylä and Kivisydän entrance) will be two-way.
- Hallituskatu (between Aleksanterinkatu–Torikatu) and Torikatu–Kirkkokatu:
Fri 16 Jan 15:00–20:00 and Sat 17 Jan 14:00–20:00. Access to properties is allowed, and local bus traffic is permitted.
The event organiser reserves the right to make all changes.
We recommend alternative ways of getting to the festival area. The local bus (osl.fi) is an efficient and warm way to travel — schedules, ticket prices and route info are available at osl.fi.
Oulu is known for its winter cycling, and bikes are a handy way to get to the city center. Bike parking is allowed on pathways, but a separate space is reserved in Mannerheiminpuisto with supervision
on Fri 16 Jan 15:00–20:00 and Sat 17 Jan 14:00–20:00. But please note that bike parking is at your own risk!
