The Singing River

Musicians and all possible watercraft travel the entire length of river Pyhäjoki from Lake Pyhäjärvi to the sea between the 10th of 14th of June 2026.

In The Singing River we sail the entire river from Lake Pyhäjärvi to the sea. A group of international musicians and other artists will play on a boat, which will also stop in the villages along the river to perform. Village associations will organize their own events on the shore (including meals and pop-up cafes). In addition, the Pyhäjoki canoeing event will be held at the same time after a break of years. All citizens are encouraged to get out on the water in various boats or even stand-up paddleboards and even make music at the same time
