Opening in November 2025, Oulu Central Library Saari will be a modern cultural hub in the city centre. The revamped building will host not only the library but also the Children and Youth Culture Centre Kotilo. Alongside its collections, the library will feature studios, a digital makerspace, and the Comics Library Sarjasto. Designed as a welcoming space, Saari invites locals and visitors alike to read, create, and spend time together.

Kierikki is a science centre with a focus on the Stone Age and a basis on archaeological research. It consists of the Centre for Ancient Times and the Stone Age Village. At the Sailor’s Home Museum you can experience Oulu from many different perspectives. Learn about the lives of Oulu’s sailors, the island of Pikisaari, and the many phases of the museum building.
